Instead of this play On a Roll 3D.. I really want to like this game. I really do. But the game suffers from a serious fault: the three-dimensional graphics don't fit this game. The entire gameplay is two-dimensional, and the 3-D environment leads to fake difficulty. (I tried the very first hard level, but first, the camera didn't catch enough of the playing area - not even after I waited a couple of seconds for it to zoom out; second, your view was blocked by a tree in the foreground. As a result, you were forced to blindly jump and hope that you won't hit the moving enemy that you can't see.)Give me a way to switch to 2-D, and I'll gladly recommend it. The way it is, the game stands as a example that less is sometimes better.. Serveral months, many sleepless nights, and a few existential crisis later, my firend and I have still yet to finish this absolute unit of a game. A true master piece. Well, it's basically Super Meat Boy with a confusing graphical style (seriously, why have nice 3d enivronments as backdrops when it would make the game a lot easier to utilise them to get past all the tricky platforming, particularly when your main character is an orange ball, the design is all over the place here) and bits wholesale nicked from other games (mine carts any one?).However, it's responsive, difficult and distracting. As derivative as the core concept is, it holds.. Lot of fun finishing this hardcore platformer with friends too. I recommmend to activate the "Shared death" option, when a player dies everyone dies. I made my teammates cry a lot. Was worth it.To play with friends only.
